Version 1.2.0

Redesigned directory and natural-language business search

Notes dated

PCBO Directory

  • The directory has a redesigned homepage, a single desktop navigation bar, and a mobile menu that groups discovery, community, and business tools.
  • Search with AI turns a plain-language request into business and location filters. Keyword search, city suggestions, and optional recent searches are available alongside it.
  • The directory map shows matching businesses beside the map on desktop and in a list on phones.
  • Community Marketplace brings together classifieds, rentals, jobs, and notices.
  • PCBO Business gives owners and agencies a separate workspace where they can switch between profiles they are authorized to manage.

Version 1.1.0

Easier business onboarding and community recommendations

Notes dated

PCBO Directory

  • Invited business owners can verify their account and go straight to editing the business profile they were invited to manage.
  • New business listings can start with manual entry or a public-source lookup. Suggested details and sources are available for review before they fill the form.
  • Directory members can set a profile picture, choose a unique @handle, and see when they joined in the account menu.
  • Verified members can recommend a business. PCBO gathers public details for staff review when a business is missing, and existing profiles show an anonymous recommendation count.
  • Community listings and jobs are tied to the account that posted them. Linking a business profile is optional, and access to linked posts follows the business’s current management permissions.
  • The community calendar brings together PCBO events, important dates, member and business events, and birthdays members choose to share.

PCBO Admin

  • Staff can link a verified Directory account to their existing Admin account and use one sign-in to manage both.
  • Community recommendations appear in the business review queue with the supporting sources when research finds a match.
